The real-time evaluation (RTE) of World Vision’s Response to Super Typhoon Haiyan (local name Yolanda) took place over a three-week period from April to May 2014. A team of eight people were involved in preparation and implementation of the RTE exercise, visiting the main World Vision Haiyan Response programme areas and conducting interviews, focus groups and a findings workshop in each. The conclusions from this process were presented in a findings workshop to key staff drawn from the Response programme, the World Vision national office in the Philippines (World Vision Development Foundation or WVDF), the South Asia and Pacific Regional office, and other parts of the organisation. The evaluation focused on six criteria for the Response. It also resulted in work plans for key themes and issues identified by the Response.
